Guest Speakers, Jacqueline Perriam & Erik Abbink, a film composing team who made the switch from classical music performers to film music composers in 2016.
They have been scoring award-winning films in a diverse range of genres (documentary, romantic comedy, fantasy and horror) for clients such as Reel One Entertainment, The Directors Guild of Canada and 291 Film Company. In 2022, Jacqueline and Erik won a Leo Award for Best Musical Score for Documentary Series for their work on Visionary Gardeners – Beauty and Delight. Since March 2023, they have been in-house composers for Reel One Entertainment, scoring television movies for the Lifetime and A&E Networks.
Used music books will be available. You may find something to add to your collection for use by your students and/or yourself.
Refreshments will also be served, so do please bring your own mug.
